Director, Al Otro Lado Border Rights ProjectNicole Elizabeth Ramos is the Director of Al Otro Lado’s Border Rights Project, which provides legal orientation to asylum seekers trapped in Mexico. Al Otro Lado is a binational legal services organization which provides both direct representation to asylum seekers in MPP, and is also an organizational plaintiff in four class action lawsuits against the Trump administration for violations of the right to seek asylum at the US-Mexico border. Nicole frequently provides border-specific technical assistance to immigration attorneys and lectures extensively at universities, law schools, and conferences throughout the United States.
