We want to empower those who fight for immigrants, whether it’s in the courtroom or with your local community group and beyond. VECINA seeks to give you the tools to stand up for those who need a voice.
Many attorneys around the country want to help asylum-seekers by taking a pro bono case, but don’t have the necessary experience and guidance to provide zealous and confident representation. VECINA mentors are nationally recognized experts to attorneys who have taken on pro bono cases.
Misinformation can be one of the worst enemies of advocacy, as it’s difficult to determine the truth. VECINA representatives can host a community discussion or speak at your event regarding immigration law or immigrant justice and advocacy.
While hiring is very taxing on nonprofit organizations, training can be just as difficult. Nonprofits can hand off this task to VECINA, whether for a one-time or ongoing training.
If you’re looking for way to volunteer with VECINA or other immigrant justice organizations, take a look at our volunteer mobilization page.
ReUnite is the only program in the United States that is dedicated to facilitating the swift release and reunification of detained unaccompanied immigrant children with their family members and other loved ones through pro bono legal services and individualized support.
