What is Immigration Consultation Connect (ICC)?

In July 2026, VECINA launched an innovative platform to provide limited scope legal consultations to qualifying immigrant staff working at participating organizations. These consultations are meant to help individuals with personal immigration questions, in particular those impacted by recent and rapidly changing immigration laws and policies.

Individuals working in immigration support fields – nonprofits, resettlement agencies, and international organizations – know better than most the profound impact of rapidly shifting laws and policies targeting immigrants in the United States. This is particularly true for staff members who not only work to support immigrant communities, but who are immigrants themselves.

ICC provides:

  1. One-on-one legal consultations for staff members at participating organizations.
  2. Access to monthly town halls covering relevant immigration law updates and topical issues.
  3. Potential follow up consultations and pro bono referrals.

Who Can Request Consultations from ICC?

ICC has limited capacity and schedules appointments with qualifying participants. VECINA will determine eligibility for individual legal consultations based on our expertise and capacity. Please note there are a limited number of hours of support, which are shared among participating organizations; therefore, availability for individual legal consultations may be limited if there is high demand. Currently, VECINA is only able to schedule consultations with staff at participating organizations. These organizations are communicating directly with staff about ICC consultations as well as our monthly town halls.

Qualifying individuals:

  1. Must work for a participating employer and be able to verify employment. Your employer will reach out directly to you if this is a benefit your employer is providing.
  2. Must be an immigrant and be asking for direct support regarding an immigration matter, not support on behalf of another individual.

Consultations through ICC are voluntary, confidential, and fully independent from an individual’s employer. No personally identifiable information will be shared with participating employers.

Sign up for a Consultation

If you work with a qualifying organization, please complete our Consultation Request Form to request an appointment with VECINA staff. This form will be circulated directly by your organization. Once you have completed the form, you will be able to sign up for a consultation in an available time slot. A VECINA staff member will verify your employment and review your form. If it is determined that you do not qualify for services, we may cancel your appointment and request that you update your form or provide further information. We also may determine that, due to urgent circumstances, we are able to advance your appointment. Our Consultation Request Form includes questions regarding your circumstances. Please include any information in the form that would be important for us to determine whether you might qualify for an emergency slot.

If your organization is interested in partnering with VECINA to support your staff, please register your interest through this form. This link will redirect you to a form to submit an inquiry. VECINA staff will respond as quickly as possible. With any other questions please reach out to ICC@vecina.org. Please note, that legal questions or personal requests will not be responded to through this form or email address. Qualifying individuals may only sign up for appointments through the Consultation Request Form.
